Cleaning and caring for headstones<\/h2>\t\t\n\t\t

Because headstones made of natural stone<\/a> are exposed to many kinds of weather, it is important to maintain and clean them regularly. Otherwise they can get damaged. It is a good idea to clean them at least three times a year by removing mud, bird droppings and other dirt.<\/p>

You can clean headstones with just warm water and a natural-bristle brush. For marble, wiping it with a damp cloth is enough. Never use harsh cleaners, or home-made ones with vinegar, because they damage natural stone. If algae grow on a headstone, there is a special cleaner on the market that removes them effectively.<\/p>

We also advise you to apply a sealant to the headstone every five years. It stops dirt from getting into the structure of the stone. This gives it more protection, makes cleaning easier and keeps the stone looking good for longer.<\/p>\t\t\n\t\t\t

You can choose from a wide range of shapes, from classic rounded to modern rectangular, oval or other irregular shapes, and on request we can include special motifs.
